Kelly Osbourne's Catwalk Show Dropped

Kelly Osbourne's TV prove, Project Catwalk, has been dropped by its network, Sky One.


The show -- the British equivalent of America's Project Runway (which is presented by supermodel Heidi Klum) -- sees aspiring fashion designers compete for success.


Kelly, 23, replaced actress and model Liz Hurley on the broadcast, which was first broadcast in the UK iI years ago.


The most recent, third series was watched by around 110,000 viewers, compared to about 300,000 for the previous installment.


A Sky One spokesman confirmed the record would non return and that the broadcaster was looking for "female-friendly" replacements.


He said, "Project Catwalk was a majuscule addition to Sky One's schedule. Kelly Osbourne, Ben de Lisi and the team have provided a fantastic platform for echt talent, introducing the emerging stars of fashion to the UK.


"We felt the series had come to a natural end and we're now looking for some fresh female-skewed formats for the 8pm slot to accompaniment our success in the 9pm and 10pm hours."

Metallica forges North American tour

Metallica [ ] continues to rev its engines for its upcoming album cycle, with the alloy icons pealing out plans for a full North American circuit that will support "Death Magnetic," the group's number 1 new studio set in five years.

"Now that 'Death Magnetic' is complete, we're ready to start a proper indoor arena tour of the States and Canada and we can't wait to visit all of our 'Talli-fans here," the group wrote in a message posted yesterday (8/10) at Metallica.com. "It really has been to a fault long (hey, what's quatern years amongst friends?)."

The head-banging quartet will hit the North American tour train in late October, and is presently poised to touch down in more than 30 cities through the end of January. Show-openers The Sword [

] will appear on all dates, while Down [ ], Lamb of God [ ] and Machine Head testament rotate through the tour's second support slot. Details are included in the itinerary shown below.

On-sale dates and times have not yet been revealed, just all Met Club members and Platinum-level Mission: Metallica members will have first shot at , according to the group's website.

As previously reported, Metallica has nailed down a Sept. 12 release particular date for "Death Magnetic," which follows 2003's "St. Anger." Like its predecessor, the new rig will go far in stores on a Friday instead of sticking out with the traditional Tuesday release for albums issued in the US.

Family affair as Winehouse waxwork unveiled




A waxwork of Amy Winehouse was unveiled by her parents today, the petite
figure soaring almost 6ft tall in killer heels and a huge beehive.






Mitch and Janis Winehouse launched the Madame Tussauds work in the Music Zone
of the locus popular with tourists.



The simulation of the Grammy Award-winning Back to Black vocalizer wore the same
rig that her real-life divine guidance wore to the Brits - a thigh-skimming
miniskirt dress teamed with black high heels and vast red hooped earrings.



Madame Tussauds said it was the first clip the London attraction had
immortalised the vocalist.



The 3ins beehive and 5ins heels made the figure, complete with signature black
eyeliner, just under 6ft tall.



The singer's parents, who were at the venue with other family unit members, were
full of praise for the wax figure, which joins other A-list names such as
Madonna and Justin Timberlake.



Mitch aforementioned he was "stunned" at the "incredible" likeness to his daughter.



He said: "That's exactly how she looked at the Brits...



"It's brilliant."



Mitch said his daughter was in the middle of working at the minute but would
go to see the waxwork in the next week or two, when she would be "as blown
away as we are".



He thanked Madame Tussauds for "emerging above the general hoopla, the spoiled
publicity almost Amy.



"This is the advantage for her musical achievements and her talent.



"As a family we are fabulously grateful to Madame Tussauds."



He said many fans had asked for a soma of her to be included at the venue,
commenting: "That's just wonderful."



Asked if she was a good role model to have at Madame Tussauds, Mitch replied:



"Ask me that in a year's time when she's recovered from all of her problems.



He said and so she would be a "fantastic role model".



Asked if the figure was excessively thin, Mitch said Winehouse had pose on around one
and-a-half stone in weight since it was modelled on her, jocose she right away
weighed "around 15 stone now".



Asked how long it took Winehouse to panache her beehive, Mitch aforesaid: "Four
hours."



Janis said of the figure: "It's lovely, it's incredible, it's superb."



The figure captures Winehouse frozen in total song, complete with her tattoos -
from the winged ankh on her back to lightning bolt, horseshoe, birdcall bird,
cover girl girls and "Blake's pocket" above her left breast.



Winehouse has told how she wants at least fivesome children with her imprisoned
husband, Blake Fielder-Civil.



Fielder-Civil was sentenced to 27 months in prison at London's Snaresbrook
Crown Court on Monday for trying to cover up an blast on a publican.



In an interview published in OK! magazine, Winehouse said previously: "I want
at least five kids. I want twins.



"Blake is gonna be the almost amazing pa."

Bond - Wright Calls Off Wedding To Pike


Former BOND girl ROSAMUND PIKE has been dumped by her director fiance JOE WRIGHT.

The pair met on the set of period drama Pride and Prejudice in 2005 and Wright proposed to the actress at Lake Como in Italy last September (07).

But Atonement filmmaker Wright, 36, allegedly called off the nuptials after Pike, 29, sent out hundreds of wedding invitations - featuring a steamy shot of the couple in a bathtub - without his knowledge, according to Britain's Daily Mail newspaper.

A source says, "The invitations featured a picture of them together in a hot tub.

"Joe dumped her for sending them without consulting him and she had to tell all the guests the wedding was off."

Adam Green , The Strokes' Nikolai Fraiture for Dylan tribute

Adam Green and The Strokes� bassist Nikolai Fraiture are among a string of New York musicians scheduled to perform at an annual Bob Dylan tribute next week (May 23).

Marc Philippe Eskenazi, Matt Romano and Josh Lattanzi of Albert Hammond, Jr.�s band, The Pierces, Russell Simins of Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Tracey Bonham and The Hymns are also on the bill for the event, which will take place at Rehab in the East Village and celebrates the 67th birthday of Dylan.

Meanwhile, Adam Green is gearing up for a short North American tour, kicking off Tuesday (May 20) in San Francisco.

The former singer is currently supporting the release of his album �Sixes & Sevens�, and played his biggest-yet headlining hometown show at New York�s Town Hall last Saturday (May 10).

Arctic Monkeys dominate NME shortlist

Arctic Monkeys lead this year's NME Music Awards shortlist with nominations in seven categories.
The group has been nominated in the Best British Band, Best Live Band, Best Album, Best Track, Best Video and Best Video Album Artwork categories.
Lead singer Alex Turner has also been shortlisted for the Best Dressed award.
NME music magazine said the nominations, which are selected by public vote, made the group the most voted-for band of the decade.
Arctic Monkeys guitarist Jamie Cook said: "It's sound the readers keep voting for us."
"Live would be good - it's good to have been picked up in that because we put a lot of effort into our live work last year, I thought we got a lot better."
Klaxons have been nominated in four NME categories, contesting Best British Band, Best Album, Best Video and Best Dance Floor Filler.
Contesting the Best British Band category alongside the Arctic Monkeys and Klaxons are Babyshambles, The Cribs and Muse.
Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has also been nominated for four awards - Villain of the Year, Worst Dressed, Best Music DVD and Best Solo Artist.
Winehouse faces competition from Kate Nash, Jamie T, Jack Penate and Patrick Wolf in the Best Solo Artist category.
Nominated in the Best International Band category are Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters, the Killers, Kings of Leon and My Chemical Romance.
The nominations for Best Album are 'Favourite Worst Nightmare' by Arctic Monkeys, 'Shotters Nation' by Babyshambles, 'We'll Live and Die in These Towns' by The Enemy, 'Myths of the Near Future' by Klaxons and 'In Rainbows' by Radiohead.
The Best Track shortlist includes 'Fluorescent Adolescent' by Arctic Monkeys, 'Flux' by Bloc Party, 'Men's Needs' by The Cribs, 'Lord Don't Slow Me Down' by Oasis and 'Let's Dance to Joy Division' by The Wombats.
